Instructions:

Method 1 – Using Micro Scissors [Video :27]

First, turn the garment inside out. Then use the curved tip of the micro scissors to carefully snip the stitches from the back.

Next you will use Fine Point Tweezers to pluck the cut threads through the shirt from the front.

If there still threads present turn the shirt back over and snip or tweeze the remainder.

Lastly, with all of the methods here, you can use the canned air – Big Shot Duster Spray – to clear away stray threads from the garment.

Method 2 – Using Double Curve Scissors [Video 2:17]

While the micro scissors are small enough to get the tip underneath the stitches, the double curve scissors should not be used that way.

From the back of the garment, pinch the backing and design between your fingers and cut the thread at it’s highest point. Be careful not to cut the fabric!

Then, take your tweezers and once again pluck out the threads.

You may STILL need to use the micro scissors to cut the underlay.

As an alternative to the the canned air you can use a lint roller to remove the remaining thread .

Method 3 – Using the Seam Ripper [Video 4:06]

Use the sharp point of the seam ripper to slip in an open part of the design and rely on the sharp interior to cleanly cut the threads.

Then, take your tweezers and once again pluck out the threads and either the canned air or lint roller to remove any excess.

Method 3 – Using the Stitch Eliminator  [Video 5:00]

Remember, all these methods start at the backside of the embroidery design.

Use a baseball or something similar under the design to cure the stitches towards you.

The Stitch Eliminator operates just like an electric shaver. Use the points of the shaver to lift up the stitches – then they’re automatically cut!

Lastly, take your tweezers and once again pluck out the threads and either the canned air or lint roller to remove any excess.

If you’re removing Fill Stitches, go right to using the Peanut Stitch Eliminator to cut your stitches. Then finish as normal.
